Happy exam season, my friends! Studying for finals is such a drag, but at least it can be a whole lot easier if you plan ahead. In today’s post, I’ll be walking you through the bullet journal spreads I’ve set up to help me study for finals and, hopefully, be as low-stress as possible in these chaotic next few weeks.
Study Calendar
Of the three spreads I’ve made for final exams this year, the study calendar is the one that I think will be the most helpful. It’s a calendar of the next three weeks, with all of my exams marked.
There are little lists at the bottom of all the things I need to do to study, and sometime in the next few days, I’ll distribute all these tasks between the days on the calendar (written in the colors corresponding to each class) so I’ll have a plan for what I’m going to study each day.

Note that the first column of the calendar is Monday, and there’s a single column for all of the weekend days (including Friday, because that’s what works best for my purposes).

Review Week Spread
My school has a week of exam review during the four days after Memorial Day, so I made a four-day weekly spread for review week. I left a lot of empty space at the bottom of the spread so I can jot down notes about the exams, things I need to ask teachers, etc.

Exam Week Schedule
My last spread, and also a very important one, is my exam week schedule. I’ve included all four of my exams (all highlighted), train times, and any other important times.

I hope this was helpful, or at least interesting for some of you! If you have any thoughts about prepping for exams with a bullet journal, or general tips for taking final exams, please feel free to let me know in the comments.

Hey! I was wondering what brand of pens you used here?

For a lot of it, I used a generic black pen from Walgreen’s, but I also used a Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen for the shadows on the exam week spread, Mildliner highlighters, and Papermate Flair pens for the writing in color on the study calendar spread.

I took mine to school and so many people (including teachers) commented on how neat my work was!!😂 Did you use any other pens in the spread?

That’s so cool! For the spreads in this post, I used a regular black pen mostly, and then a Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen for the drop shadows and Papermate Flair pens for the writing that’s in color.

Thx! Is the Tombow brush you used different to a Tombow Dual Brush?

Yes, they are a little bit different. (I love both of them!) The Tombow Fudenosuke has a smaller tip and is available in both hard and soft tips. (I prefer the hard one, though they’re both nice.) And the pens only have one tip instead of two.

Yes, absolutely! I think the best deal for them that I could find on Amazon is this one, a two-pack for $6 that comes with both types of tips: https://www.amazon.com/Tombow-62038-Fudenosuke-Calligraphy-Drawings/dp/B01M71S9DU/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=tombow+fudenosuke&qid=1561431600&s=gateway&sr=8-3
