The Last Summer of the Garrett Girls has a fitting release date, as it’s a perfect summer read. It's about four sisters and their last summer together, and the book follows the four of them as they branch out and get into all sorts of shenanigans in their small town. Not only does The Last Summer of the Garrett Girls explore sister relationships and friendships with addictive writing, it also has some fabulously complex characters.
IT'S FINALLY SUMMER!! I'm back from a quick week-long blogging break in which I studied for and took exams, and in honor of the new season, I'm sharing a spread I made with a bunch of summer-themed doodles!
In the book community, we can all agree that books are awesome. What's harder to come to a consensus about is the best way to get books. Some say that libraries are the best, some only buy their books, and some prefer to read on an e-reader or another electronic device. And there are some bookworms (like myself) who like some combination of the three! Of course, I had to throw my two cents into the pot, so in this post, I'll be giving you all the pros and cons of all three options. Perhaps you'll be able to figure out which method is best for you!
Happy weekend! And happy long weekend to those who are in the US like myself—I’m so glad to be off school for three days! I managed to squeeze in some time earlier this week to set up my bullet journal for June, and I’m excited to share it with you all. Hope you enjoy!
A list of reasons why I was enthralled by this spooky, beautiful book. Click to read by review and see the book aesthetic I created.
School is almost over for me, and you know what that means? Finals! Yay! (Haha.) I actually am excited though, because school is almost over! Unfortunately, before summer starts I have to get through exams. One of the tools I'm using to do that is my school bullet journal. Keep reading to see five journal spreads I've made that will help me prepare for exams.
A list of eight foolproof, tried-and-true ways to read more books! (Even if you're really busy.)
My bedroom is my favorite place. It's where I relax after a stressful day at school; it's where I do the majority of my reading; it's where I create things and listen to music and let my introvert soul chill out after interacting with people. What better way for my readers to get to know me than to show them the place where I spend so much of my time?
Daily logs are the most important module of the bullet journal system. Today, we're going to get past decorations and stylistic choices (which I do consider to be very important to my bullet journal!) to look at the framework for different types of bullet journal daily layouts. I have a list of four daily planning styles, accompanied by photos of various spreads I've used since I started bullet journaling, that I can't wait to share with you all!
In honor of the recent publication of Brendan Kiely's book Tradition, I have compiled a list of six young adult books that talk about sexual assault. It's so important to talk about sexual assault, and there are some really powerful ya books out there about this topic.
