Happy (belated) December! I know this is a little late for a monthly recap, but I have an idea I want to try out, and I’m super excited for you all to read this post! I hope you enjoy it!
Since July, I’ve been posting a recap each month encompassing the books I read that month. For November, I’m going to try something different; in this post, I’ll recap not just the books I read, but other stuff too: bullet journaling, tv, movies, blog posts, and music will all be part of this post. I want to make my recaps more general and not limited to just books. (Although books will still be included!)
Four of my favorite bullet journal spreads I made in November…
1: Doodle a day | I really love how my new doodle a day page turned out:
2: These weekly/daily pages | In case you missed this spread from this week’s daily planning update post, here is one of my favorite daily spreads from November:
3: Photo a day | My mom, my sister, and I are all trying to take one photo each day, and I’ve created some spreads for this challenge and pasted in my photos. You can see more pictures of these in my daily planning update as well.
4: All I want for Christmas is Justice for Barb | A fun Stranger Things-inspired spread I made when I was designing some Christmas-related pages.
(Inspired by a sweatshirt from Look Human.)
I am two books away from completing my Goodreads challenge! I don’t want to jinx it, but I’m pretty confident that I’ll be able to finish. Once my winter break starts, I’ll have a ton of free time. I always read a ton over break, and I can’t wait to do the same this year!
On a less exciting note, I finished a total of…one book this month. Sigh. I have so much schoolwork, that it’s hard to find time for reading. I’m super excited to have more reading time during winter break, though!
That one book was Skavenger’s Hunt by Mike Rich, an arc I received from Netgalley. It had some pros and some cons, all of which I explained in my review of the book, which can be found here.
My tbr list for December:
(Titles link to Goodreads.)
- Nightfall | Shannon Messenger
- Rules of Rain (arc) | Leah Scheier
- Love, Hate and Other Filters (arc) | Samira Ahmed
- The Way the Light Bends (arc) | Cordelia Jensen
- Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda | Becky Albertalli
- Passenger | Alexandra Bracken
Some notable things I watched in November…
Stranger Things (season 2) | I binged the first five episodes the weekend in October that it came out, but I finished this season in November. OMG IT WAS SO GOOOOOOD!!! Stranger Things is amazing.
Stranger Things (season 1) | After finishing season 2, I started re-watching the first season with my sister and my brother. My brother wanted to start watching ST, and of course my sister and I wanted to watch it with him, so this is my third time watching season 1! No, I’m definitely not obsessed, I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Wonder | AAAHHHHH THIS MOVIE IS BEAUTIFUL! I loved how true the movie stayed to the book, which is one of my favorites ever.

Despite the fact that she won America’s Got Talent like a year and a half ago, I have just recently discovered Grace Vanderwaal. I think she’s my new favorite artist! She’s so inspiring, and her voice is gorgeous. And I love that she plays the ukulele! Basically, she’s amazing. Aside from Grace, there are a few other artists I’ve been really enjoying recently, e.g. The Script, who just released a new album! I thought it would be fun if I compiled a little playlist of my favorite songs in November, so here you go:
What were some of your favorite things in November? Have you seen Wonder? Talk to me in the comments!
Peace!

Your bullet journal pages look gorgeous! And the Stranger Things lettering is so creative! My bullet journal doubles as my school agenda, so I tend to use it actively but don’t make a lot of other spreads. Maybe something to try next year? I haven’tread Wonder yet, but it’s one of my younger sister’s all-time favorite books. I’ll have to pick it up soon so we can see the movie together. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much Claire! I totally get what you mean about not having a ton of time to bullet journal because of school. I usually try to set aside some time at the end of the month to set up a bunch of spreads, but school does make it hard! I hope you like Wonder! It’s one of my favorites.
