Top 10 Books on My Winter Tbr | Top Ten Tuesday

winter tbr

Winter is probably my favorite season for reading. There’s nothing like curling up with a cozy blanket and a book. Bonus points for being next to a warm fireplace! For today’s post, I’m linking up with Top Ten Tuesday (created by The Broke and the Bookish) to tell you about my top ten books I want to read this winter.

(Covers from goodreads; titles link to goodreads. Goodreads is the best!)

Nightfall // Shannon Messenger

Tbh, if all goes as planned, I’ll actually read Nightfall before winter starts? I have been sooo excited for it for ages. I got it as soon as it came out, but I’m making myself finish my current read before I start this one. I’m reading Black Dove, White Raven right now, which I’m enjoying, but I’m reading it slowly because I’m so busy with school and blogging and everything.

Anyway, Nightfall is the sixth book in the middle grade fantasy series Keeper of the Lost Cities, which is one of my favorites. Definitely recommend!

When Dimple Met Rishi // Sandhya Menon

I’ve heard amazing things about WDMR, and I can’t wait to read it! It’s a fluffy, romantic, book, so I’m thinking it will be the perfect cozy read.

winter-graphics-3

Carry On // Rainbow Rowell

I’m hoping Carry On will live up to Fangirl, which I read (and adored!) earlier this year.

winter-graphics-4

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue // Mackenzi Lee

I’ve heard really great things about Gentleman’s Guide too; it’s supposedly a great road trip type-story (but also historical fiction) with a ton of diversity!

winter-graphics-5

Passenger // Alexandra Bracken

I have a buddy read planned for this one, which is going to be fun. I bought Passenger over the summer and still haven’t gotten to it, so buddy reading it should be helpful too! I’ve read another book by this author and enjoyed it, so I’m hoping this one will be good as well.

winter-graphics-6

Love, Hate, and Other Filters // Samira Ahmed

I’m super excited I was able to snag an advance copy of this book on Netgalley. It sounds super good, and it’s #OwnVoices for Muslim and Indian-American rep!

winter-graphics-7

The Way the Light Bends // Cordelia Jensen

Another arc! I love this author, and I haven’t read many books about families with adopted kids, so I’m really excited to dive into this one. (Am I getting a little repetitive here? I think so. Sorry about that. Books just make me excited!)

winter-graphics-8

Wish You Were Eyre // Heather Vogel Frederick

The sixth book in a really fun middle grade series about a book club. I love books about books.

winter-graphics-9

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda // Becky Albertalli

The movie adaptation for this book is coming out in March—the trailer just came out, and it looks like it’s going to be awesome! I try to always read the book before watching the movie, so I have to read this before March!

winter-graphics-10

My True Love Gave to Me // Stephanie Perkins

This short story anthology featuring ya authors such as Jenny Han and Rainbow Rowell is all about the holidays, so it’ll be a perfect winter read!

  2. WDMR and The Gentleman’s Guide are both on my TBR as well!
I’ve been looking forward to reading them so much but.. still haven’t. Need to do that, for sure!

I haven’t read Fangirl yet, but it’s on my TBR too! 😀 I simply put off buying Carry On because I want to read Fangirl first, haha.

I’ve recently reserved a library copy of Keepers of the lost cities. I hope to read it soon. And Gentleman’s guide was an amazing book! Hope you read and enjoy all of these ❤
