Plan with Me | Bullet Journal Setup for September 2017

sept pwm.png

Hi there! It’s almost September, so you know what that means…

Plan with me post! And also going back to school, * cue crying. * Just kidding, I’m actually excited for school, I’m just sad to say goodbye to summer. 😉

bye august

As you may have been able to deduce by looking at the above photo, my theme this month is pink + origami. I used to make origami all the time, and while I don’t make it as much anymore, I really love how these little origami doodles look.

My first pages are my review of august’s spreads (read more about this process here) and my cover page, which reads, “bye august.” Fun fact: this page was going to say “hello september,” but I had a brain fart and wrote august instead. I covered the “hello” with a scrap of paper and wrote “bye” instead.

My monthly log looks basically the same as last month’s, but there are a few key changes: I didn’t put my habit tracker on the same page as my monthly log, and I added a section for goals. This month, I’m having a separate page for my habit tracker so this monthly page isn’t as cluttered.

For September, I’m adding a mood tracker at the bottom of the habit tracker. I got this idea from the bullet journal queen, Boho Berry. I had been doing mood mandalas up until July, but I found that it just took too much time to draw it all out, and it got a bit tedious after a few months, so I’m switching to a simpler mood tracker.

sept sleep tracker

This sleep tracker is something new that I’m trying out. Because school is starting, I thought it could be interesting to track how many hours I’m sleeping, what time I go to bed, etc. We’ll see how it goes. If you look very closely, you can see that there are a few spots where I messed up and wrote 13 instead of 1. Oh well.

sept doodle a day

I’m bringing this spread back! I actually don’t think I had a blog last time I used this spread. But anyway, I used to do this page every month where I’d just doodle something every day. I really liked it, so I made it again in lieu of my highlights spread from August.

My editorial calendar where I plan all my blog and Instagram posts hasn’t really changed.

This tracker is also new! Because I don’t have PE for the first semester, I thought I might try and run in the mornings, and this spread will hopefully be a nice reminder and motivate me to actually do it. My plan is to fill in each day that I go on a run before school with my pink Tombow Dual Brush Pen. I may also write how many minutes/miles I ran.

And that’s my setup for September! If you’re a student, are you ready to go back to school? What spreads have you set up in your bujo for September? Let’s talk about it in the comments!

  3. All of your pages are well-organized and pretty! I don’t bullet journal myself, but have found that many who do are very creative! You have a lot of trackers, too! I like to track, but I use icons to color on label stickers. I find that to be a better motivator for me (images on my blog).

Oh this is so gorgeous, Annie, and I truly love how functional it is and how much thought you put into narrowing down, and changing it to fit your needs. As the semester approaches, I definitely want to start up bullet journaling again – hopefully keep it simple so I don’t spend too much time on the spreads that I get bored and stop keeping track of everything, ha. 🙂 I’ll take inspiration from you!
