5 Different Types of Bullet Journals

If you’re a part of the online bullet journal community, there’s one thing you’ll know for sure; everyone bullet journals differently. That’s the beauty of the system—its users have the power to adapt their journals to fit their needs. Depending on who you are and what you want to get out of your bullet journal, your journal could go in a million different directions.

For beginners, looking at all the different styles of bullet journal on Pinterest or Instagram can sometimes be overwhelming. In my experience, finding your own personal journaling style that fits your wants and needs is one of the most important (and fun!) things to do as a beginning bullet journalist.

In today’s post, I’ll be showcasing 5 different styles of bullet journaling. As I mentioned earlier, there are a million different ways to bullet journal, and there are no limits, so I won’t come close to representing every style. It is my hope that reading this post will give you some inspiration and help you figure out what journaling style most suits you.

The Minimalist

Clean lines and simple handwriting, usually all black and white. For some, the thing that works best for them is to stick to the original system, which is very minimalistic.

Fancy lettering, detailed drawings, and lots of color. Many artistic people use their bullet journals as a place to draw, make art, and let their creativity run wild.

The Super Organized Journal

Scrapbook Style

I have seen a ton of super pretty bujos that incorporate to-do lists, pictures, washi tape, sticky notes, and drawings to make gorgeous spreads that look a bit like scrapbook pages.
